Camilla specialises in corporate advice, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and private equity, as well as co-operatives and alternative structures.

She acts for a wide range of UK and international clients, including public and private companies, partnerships, co-ops and private individuals.

She is a core member of the firm's Energy, Power and Utilities team, which gives her a much deeper understanding of the issues facing businesses operating in this area. She also has particular expertise in community energy.

During 2019 our transactional energy lawyers completed 34 clean M&A deals with an aggregate deal value of over £360m, making us the most active clean energy M&A team over the last 7 years (by deal volume) according to Clean Energy Pipeline’s annual global league tables.

• Advising Marks and Spencer on establishing M&S Energy Society – a ground-breaking collaboration to fund the installation of solar panels on M&S stores, including on the corporate structuring and public offer which allowed its customers and the wider public to invest into the scheme. This led to the team winning Energy & Infrastructure Team of the Year in 2016.
• Advising a major European utility on its acquisition of a consented Northern Irish wind farm (approx. 45MW) and on its subsequent sale for £163m, as well as on its equity investment into two Scottish wind farms (totalling approx. 200MW), including documenting the joint development arrangements for their build out.
• Advising Metka EGN on its acquisition of a 50MW subsidy free ground-mounted solar PV project.
• Advising US quoted yieldco, TerraForm Power Inc., on multiple solar acquisitions to build a substantial portfolio of projects with a combined installed capacity of approx. 185MW.
• Advising energy storage business Zenobe Energy on separate cornerstone equity investments by Tiger Infrastructure Partners, Jera Co. Inc. and Tepco Power Grid Inc. 
• Advising on a wide range of Community Energy projects including M&A, corporate structuring and equity fundraisings for Ripple Energy, Westmill Solar, Resilient Energy, Gower Power and Awel Aman Tawe.
